Welcome to the Tigh Tasgaidh Online Newsletter. Hello to all our guests 13 January 2012 Thank you for all the lovely messages and cards over Christmas and New Year, and Ireally wish you all and your families a very happy, peaceful and contented year ahead. From returning from a couple of weeks with the family and grandsons in France( a little exhausted but all good fun)I am now back on the job to make Tigh Tasgaidh beautiful for everyone to enjoy. Most of the upgrading has been completed, just waiting.....on the builders to put a better front door on,and the wind and rain to leave so I can get some serious work done in the gardens. The new bathroom decoration all looks nice and new overbath fancy shower I do hope you will like.New curtains in the twin bedroom, repainted in 3 rooms, and chairs reupholstered,by the sea windows. We are so looking forward to seeing many of you again-Valerie and Barry hve bravely reserved a 2 week holiday,Alisdair Macdonald has gone one better by rashly reserving for August 2013. The family Whitely are returning from America, and not forgetting Ann and phil who stoically do the drive up twice a year.Let me know anything you would like arranged ahead of your visit from fresh Langoustine from david cambell to booking boats/kayaking days -whatever I am delighted to help you in having a very relaxing/happy holiday.Love to you all,and thanks so very much in supporting what I do to mke Tigh Tasgaidh a special home for many. Here is a pic from Jan 11, nobody wants to see a photo of the wind and rain of this year,Love Louise
November 2011 14 November 2011 We have as final guests this year Jon and his photography friends staying, everyone out to catch the dawn light and return after sunset. Jon and Dennis are running the first of the landscape photography workshops at the beginning of March, this is all ready fully booked, however he is planning another one for Novenber 2012. he has kindly taken lots of photos of the inside of the house which will be so much better than my old things, guests are always saying that the web snaps do no justice to Tigh Tasgaidh. I will also ask jon to add some he has taken this visit to our news page. After jon leaves, it is redecorating, a new fancy over bath drench shower, some new curtains and doors- also looking into possibility of putting in a wood burning stove for next year for you. Also new bathroom wallpaper for Eli to do. I am busy in the garden, tomorrow start digging the kitchen garden beds with the Collies to advise me to dig deeper and faster. New raspberry canes/extra plum tree( called Blue tit) and another apple tree( Discovery). Also got this year with local sales (at the village shop) from the kitchen garden 2 cherry trees for the village, so hope they do well and we can all enjoy them in the future. Thank you all for the wonderful postcards/messages and phone calls from you,and we do so look forward to seeing so many of you again next year.
